Terms
Last updated: 8 November 2026
These are the terms for using Teachvella. They are short on purpose. By using the service you agree to them.
The service
Teachvella is a planning tool for teachers: a calendar, timetable, classes and lesson planner. Features may change over time. It is operated by Scott Ewart, an individual trading as Teachvella.
Who can use it
Teachvella is for teachers and school staff aged 18 or over.
Your account
You sign in with your Whop account. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You can use Teachvella in your browser without signing in.
Subscription and payment
Cloud saving is a paid subscription: £6.99/month (tax included). It is billed monthly through Whop and renews each month until you cancel.
- Price: £6.99 per month. This is the full price you pay, and any applicable tax is included in it.
- You can cancel at any time through Whop. After you cancel, saving to your account stops at the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds: we do not refund the current month. You can cancel at any time, and you keep access to saving until the end of the period you have paid for. This does not affect any rights you have under consumer law.
- Using Teachvella in your browser, without saving to an account, does not need a subscription.
Payments are processed by Whop. We do not see your card details.
Acceptable use
Use Teachvella lawfully and fairly. Do not try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service or to other people’s data, do not upload harmful or unlawful content, and do not use it in a way that could harm others.
Pupil information
Pupil information is optional. You must not enter real pupil information into Teachvella unless pupil information has been enabled for your account and you have appropriate authority from your school or organisation to use it. This includes real pupil names and any information about identifiable pupils, such as special educational needs (SEND), medical, safeguarding or behaviour information.
You are responsible for having that authority, for following your school’s policies and any data processing agreement it requires, and for entering only what you need. Teachvella does not verify your authority, and nothing in the service replaces your school’s own arrangements. Where pupil information is not enabled, the pupil and seating plan screens are a demonstration and must only be used with fictional names.
We may switch pupil information off, for example to protect pupils or the service. You can export or delete your pupil information in the app at any time.
Your content
The plans, notes and other content you create stay yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can provide the service to you.
Availability
We aim to keep Teachvella available but do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Please keep your own copy of anything important.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited. Beyond that, we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending your use
You can stop using Teachvella at any time and ask us to delete your saved data. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or the service is closed. If we close the service we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data before it is deleted.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales have jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service develops. We will change the date on this page and, for significant changes, tell signed-in users.
